Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Limited Edition of 2500 | Artist Proof 250

A kaleidoscope of burnished golden-orange leaves turn red at the peak of fall colors in Grand Teton National Park. As nights lengthen during autumn, the production of chlorophyll decreases, the carotenoids and xanthophylls are then unmasked and show their colors. When sugars are concentrated in the leaves anthocyanin produces a radiant red. Among its branches, mountain chickadees pass their time, and sharp-shinned hawks find favorite perches among its leaves.
